Our BEE status

Exempt Micro Enterprise status for Image Communications

Image Communications cc is an exempt micro enterprise (EME) as defined under Code 800  of the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), published in December 2006.  An EME is defined as an 'enterprise whose annual turnover falls below R5-million'.  EMEs are exempt from any form of BEE and automatically qualify as a Level 4 BEE contributor, which entitles the purchasing company to claim R1 for every R1 spent.

The prosperity of the South African economy is dependent on the active participation of all South Africans.  Despite our exempt micro enterprise (EME) status, Image Communications is still committed to the principles and objectives of BBBEE, which we regard as a vital element of prudent business sustainability practice.  By contributing to the economic and social upliftment of all South Africans -- with specific emphasis on historically disadvantaged individuals and communities -- we play an active role in South Africa's sustained economic growth.

Image Communications believes that authentic commitment to BBBEE is a moral imperative given the emphasis placed on social and economic upliftment.  We believe that our constructive involvement in BBBEE makes a meaningful contribution to maintaining a stable political, social and commercial environment, and that this facilitates long-term business sustainability.

Our BEE policy is built on broad-based principles.
